| Well I've wrapped up some other work, and I slipped in a few quickies. The project I had planned for January is now a February project, which is fine, plenty of time to do other things. Few personal projects, and LOTS of reading. Things are still progressing with my May goals. Only sad thing is, I know I have to do the TAX thing, before the May thing. Oh, she still calls ;)
Maybe I'll feel motivated to do my taxes. I don't know why I dread it, only takes a few hours, but seems like days. |

| | So yep, that was a short intermission, in and out before ya even knew what hit ya. I'm back from cold Pennsylvania. Few things going on here, but I still need to get settled and finish up some work... always dreaded work. I believe AdSense says we've cleared $100, through the chile site, so, Kickass, I'm excited. Shall be signing a contract soon, for another project, that will get me enough to knock coa debt in half. That would be a fantastic way to start out the year. Which in itself would be a great thing for me, being able to do something in 1 month, that I had estimated for May 2008. The weight is still holding, and reporting in at approximately 220 pounds. 180 is still the goal for May. Other than that, I'm alive. I have work that needs to be done, Christmas is just around the corner. Nice to not have the strain of clients on my shoulders as much. Maybe now I can get my work done :) Oh! and I actually managed to sleep the past 2 nights. Sometimes I just think it would be easier if I had food stamps :) Maybe it has always just been about a girl *shrug* | |

| So much going on, Still trying to move, Still working on projects. Furnace blew the other day, and last night I was flooded again. The only positive thing to report is word of an LoA album by summer *crossfingers*. At this rate CoA will not be here by that time.
BUT....
Last night I figured out how to save coa. Get rid of the debt and be totally out of the negative. The solution is simple, and inexpensive, but it requires everyone. My only roadblock is, what can I offer in return as an incentive.
The solution is, everyone needs to buy one shirt. Based on inventory amounts, if all the shirts are sold, after transaction fees, we'd have enough, to get out of the negative and end up approximately $75 in the positive. I'm sorry there isn't a great selection right now, but it is all I can do and it is all I have. A few people have said they really don't like the shirts, I understand, but you could buy a shirt for someone else, or donate money, or buy a membership.
Now, it is nothing major, the shirts are not that expensive, I need to find some form of incentive.
Maybe it is time for people on the site to leave some feedback. what would make you, right here, right now, buy a shirt? This is what I need to happen. In a perfect world, I would like to have the shirts out of here in 4 days.
This isn't just for CoA, it is for Me. As I said when I started this entry, things are bad where I live, I need to get out of here and i need to move. It would help me tremendously if I could get all these out of here so i dont have to put them in storage or worry about them as i prepare to start moving. At worse, I want to make sure they are out of here just in case the flooding is bad next time. | |

| I'm looking for a 160-250 GB NAS. I'd like to have one with some sort of *nix on it.
The only objective is to setup the NAS and have it run rsync 1 time a day (or multiple). I want it to be a nice unit I can set on the LAN on a backup power unit (APC), and let it do backups all the time without the need of a computer.
I finally found the Linksys NSLU2 and the whole 'hack' page for it. I was excited. But then I found out that the unit does not have an internal drive, nor can one be put in. you basically plug in external USB drives. WTF
The Hawkings HNAS1 is kind of what I want, and is hackable cause it uses uClinux. But I've read and heard horrible things about it. Sorry, I dont want any headaches. |

| The mystery comes to an end.
Well some know that i've had a problem with my foot where it has been red and just plain old bad for a really long time.. some people may know that I went to the hospital the other week from a swollen chin. The doctor didn't know what caused it, but gave me a bunch of stuff for it. and of course the wonderful blisters on my fingers.. and as of few days ago, a swollen ankle that is inflamed.
well I finally found out what has caused it.. the Lubriderm. It sits in the bathroom and when i have something that is dry (my toe, my ankle, my chin (from shaving)).. I put some on. well, I never put 2 and 2 together. I use my fingers to apply it. which is why i break out in blisters (Eczema).
well. I tried 2 different tests.
first test. I put the lubriderm on my one finger. i also put hydrocortizone on my other finger. I had been using the cream to help with the damn itching. so I thought it was only fair, to test it. well i woke up in the morning and my finger had a spot with little blisters. so, it was the lubriderm. To be fair, incase I accidently screwed up the order of which finger had what.. i did another test
Test Two. I put a circle of Lubriderm on the back of mt LEFT hand, and hydrocortizone on the right. hours later my hand had a red puffy spot. It looks like I got a bug bite from hell. the other hand has nothing on it, not even redness of any sorts.
I did report this to the company who makes lubriderm but they said they haven't heard of it happening. The pharmacist said the same thing. I did a little googling and I guess there are a few people out there who are allergic to lubriderm. |

| Tony will apreciate this.. A long time ago, I wanted a subscription to GoldMine magazine. I've never seen it, but it has come high recommended by other friends. So I went and bought it off amazon.com
That was February 10th. They said (standard disclaimer) or like 6-8 weeks for deliver. So. I've been waiting, patiently. I went back and checked the credit card. Charge Feb 22. Call up the magazine people to see what the bottleneck was. She tells me that, the magazine was entered Feb 22nd and then it was cancelled Feb 22nd by the place I ordered it from. Amazon.com
So I go to amazon and I look it up, order is their, no cancellations. I call Amazon (or they called me), talked to someone I couldn't understand. They told me the subscription is fine, and all is ok.
Blah blah blah. This shit goes on for like a half hour.
They are going to call me back in a week to 10 days and tell me what is up.
In the meantime, i figured I'm pretty much getting fucked over on this one.. so I tried to do a refund, sadly, no refund is possible cause it has been over 30 days. Though i think there should be exceptions, in this case, where a magazine is ordered and stated it will be awhile for it (over a said, 30 day period).
I decided that this is bullshit. Decided to give Amex a call and let them know what was up.. Amex filed a report, and they said if I don't hear back from the merchant, they will give me my money back. |

| Kim always says that the place has ghosts. Often we sit around and talk about it. From missing wallets, to missing make-up, and even remote controls. Things always seem to vanish, but yet, come back later. Tonight my asthma was acting up. I have a normal inhaler you get over the counter, and I have albuterol. Well I had the albuterol earlier so I thought I'd get my normal inhaler. I checked my desk 3 times, I checked kim's, I checked the coffeetable, I checked under it, I flipped over the couch, I searched the kitchen, i searched the bedroom. I checked the desk again and then thought about my coat pockets.. checked down in the couch, checked out the bathroom.. pants pocket?? NOPE. standing there in a panic, I thought, what am i going to do, breathing is hard right now. i don't want to call people. so I checked down in the couch cushions, I checked under the fridge, thinking the cat, in a bitch-kitty-mode, knocked it off the desk and under the fridge.. nope. Thought maybe I took it to erich's in my bag. NOPE not there. Standing there in total amazement I couldn't figure out where it could be.
Now I'm looking at the desk.. and the inhaler it sitting in the middle. I SEARCHED that desk.
okay.. now that I typed that. Im a little spooked to hear a creeking of the floor on the 2nd floor.. But it is a business so they are closed. It's also midnight, on a holiday weekend, and the tenant on the 3rd floor is out of town. crazy. |
